Global Spatial Grids and Cloud-based Services

The Global Spatial Grid (GSG) is an important spatial data model/structure for global spatial data organization, integration, management, visualization, sharing and location based services . Parallel computing and cloud environments are providing new solutions for GSG to better serve global mapping, multidimensional visualization, geospatial analytics, dynamic representation and collaborative services. A workshop on the global spatial grid and web/cloud-based services will not only benefit the scientific researchers, system developers and service providers, but also facilitate the development and applications of virtual globes and web/cloud based geospatial services. The jointly run of WebMGS Workshop 2013 and DMGIS workshop 2013.
